Battlefield 2, The Review Print E-mail

Find out why this game is one of today's most popular multiplayer titles to ever hit the PC!

Bf2: Battlefield 2 is the hit sequel to the famous Battlefield 1942 and BF: Vietnam. It runs on an entirely different game engine with superior graphics and sound effects. Your initial reaction to this game could be that it's a Desert, close-combat war, mainly because the most-played maps are the city maps (like the de_dust of CS) where you can turn the corner at the end of the building and run point-blank into an enemy soldier. However, it with it's fair share of buggies, hummvees, armored carriers, choppers, tanks, combat jets and motor boats, it still incorporates the original gameplay idea of war with long-range projectiles. The main difference between BF2 and the previous BF's is that this game relies highly on player co-operation. In a team ranging from 6-32 players, each player has a lead or follow role that must be executed accordingly in order to win the game. Each side offers different classes where there's a bigger role to your class than just combat. With the various classes and a commander to lead them, the teams must work together to outsmart their opponent and capture the flags. Overall, this game is highly recommended for those who like "real war" games, where you can die in one hit, or drive a car and get blown to bits by a land mine.

Overall Score by the AntiHero: 9 out of 10     - that means go buy it!
