There are many methods to fighting spam to keep spam away from your Inbox. There are many different software all promising to delete spam without accidentally erasing information you truly want. What is the best software and how do you make it work? Let me show you how.

The program I'm showcasing today is SpamBayes. What is it? Well, it's an awesome filter for your pop3 programs, mainly Outlook for this article that beats spam very well. It's open-source, meaning the code is publicly available, therefore it's free and also very powerful because multiple programmers are constantly working to make it better.

No more creating thousands of ineffective rules because of constantly evolving spam. Read on to learn about the features of SpamBayes:

- Easy to use, takes very little time to use
- Uses training at first to learn EXACTLY what is and what is not spam
- almost NO RISK of your important email going into the junk folder
- saves you time by not having to comb the junk folder for your emails (most spam programs always do this!)
- very fast lightweight program
- Spambayes EVOLVES with the constantly adapting spam emails, as spammers constantly change their letter or spelling, SpamBayes still picks them out and marks them as spam!
- very smart algorithm that can tell what is spam and what is good
- IT IS A FREE SPAM-FIGHT PROGRAM!

Using it is easy, follow these simple steps to get a start:

1. divide the emails in your Outlook into different folders. Make sure all the junk/spam emails are in the junk/spam folders that you have designated for them. Make sure only GOOD emails are in your Inbox or folders marked for "good email".

2. Install SpamBayes and run the configuration tool. Mark the folders for good email and the folders for bad email, for training purposes. Also pick the folder where you would like future spam emails to go

3. Now hit TRAIN, this can be done from the SpamBayes Manager.

4. After it is done training, you are almost safe. Begin hitting Send/Receive and enjoy!

5. Whenever you see an email you don't like, use the SpamBayes delete button from the Outlook tool bar.

6. Everyone once in a blue moon, re-TRAIN your SpamBayes again to ensure optimal protection against spam.
