Easily make room to add more computers to your network.
I will assume that you are here because your network is either limited by distance or or size. I will assume that you are looking to add more computers but don't know how you are going to do so. Wired Ethernet networks are stable and secure but they require you running cables and buying a switch with enough ports. If you choose this route, do keep in mind that running Ethernet cable throughout your house is not as difficult as you think. Ethernet cables are relatively cheap and there's also no excuse for you to complain about the price because even have a guide here that shows you how to make your own! LINK Some other key things to remember is that switches are NOT created equal! Expensive switches can handle more data smoothly! Keep in mind that surfing the internet a lot doesn't mean you need a $300 switch. Only people who have tons of data traveling back and forth constantly need an expensive switch. Other than that, your regular 8-port switch for $39.99 will do just fine! Another way to expand is wirelessly, all you have to do in this case is by a wireless point and set it up by using the provided CD. Wireless is relatively quick and easy to setup because you don't have to run any cables. All you do is make sure all your computers have wireless adapters. And that the signal goes through the walls. Also remember that if you're trying to use a SECOND router as a switch, or a wireless router as a wireless access point, you need to turn off DHCP server on that router and plug the Ethernet cable from the MAIN router into a NUMBERED PORT and not the wan port. <> I hope that this guide is truly helpful and makes things easier for you. I left out several details to make things less confusing for you. You are more than welcome to ask questions on the RFUZ FORUM and I wish you the best of luck.
