Thunderbird Error when Forwarding Emails Print E-mail
Sunday, 24 June 2007
Below is a common Thunderbird 2 error message received when you try to forward email messagesas a bounceback email from Thunderbird:

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: xxx@xxxx.com This message has been rejected because it has a potentially executable attachment "xxxxxxxxxx.eml" This form of attachment has been used by recent viruses or other malware. If you meant to send this file then please package it up as a zip file and resend it.

The simple fix is to just go to Tools > Options > Composition > General. Change the forward messages option to Inline.
