1) start > run >regedit

2) go to the key:

4) the activation screen will come up, click on register over telephone, then click on CHANGE PRODUCT KEY, enter in this key: JG28K-H9Q7X-BH6W4-3PDCQ-6XBFJ.
then click updateit will return back..this mean it was updated.
exit the programs.

5) go to www.microsoft.com/genuine
click VALIDATE WINDOWS
click ok or install if boxes appears
6)Its done....your pc @ laptop was genuine

my only advice for you is to upgrade your MCE to windows XP PRO. PRO is actually higher than MCE.

ORRRR If you want to use these steps....for MCE, then you have to get one of the generic MCE keys that are compatible for your build. (if you dont understand what this means, keep trying a buncha different keys until one works)

Simply: I have a laptop and a desktop. Laptop is running on Ubuntu Linux, and I would like to use "legal" Windows XP Pro on desktop. "Legal" means I have that XP Pro sticker on the bottom of laptop, and I could use the serial from that.
The problem: Any of my XP medias won't accept the code, all are propably only corporate versions. I've been trying to search from P2P, just managed to dl a couple of more corporate versions. Laptop has these Acer restore CDs, but I think it's only waste of time to offer it to desktop. Any ideas where to find such version of XP or how to get only XP out from restore CDs???

you cannot use this crack on OEM restore CD's. this crack only works if you have the bootleg XP cd that uses the serial key JD3T2...

You need to learn how use BitTorrent, I have a great guide here on this site and also some websites to visit to DL the windows XP cd version that you need for this crack.

If your Windows XP is a legitimate copy, this crack won't work. The crack only works for the right windows XP service pack 2 version that uses the CD listed at the beginning of the guide. You might consider just downloading and installing the right "bootleg" CD and installing that and then cracking it.

I had the same problem a few months ago, I couldn't find the product key for MS Windows and It said "If not activated in 14 days, windows will no longer work" What ever that means, thankfully I never found out because I just called the number on the "Call for assistance" page and they gave me the product key within three minutes. I suppose I was lucky though, because in my previous dealings with customer service, I get an automated recording and I end up in some department where the people don't know anything about my problem. Good tip though. I will have to try it sometime.

Your bootleg version of windows is not the correct one. Your version should already have the service pack 2 included and uses the CD key I mentioned at the beginning of the article. You can find that ISO on any torrent sites easily.

What CD key did you use to install your Windows XP? Perhaps I can find a way to help you.

Also, another tip is to go to a bit torrent site *cough* www.isohunt.com and dl the right Windows XP ISO image. And then use that CD to "repair" your current windows XP, and then from there you can crack it and get updates. There's another guide on this site that teaches you how to "repair" your current windows XP.

I checked on the microsoft website and used the MS validation program and it says that my product key is genuine hurrah! and I was able to download IE7, WMP11, etc. without any problem. Walter, you need to look for a key online from a torrent site like isohunt.com download windows xp ISO files with the azureus bit torrent client program. you will see some windows XP ISO's that have the version build 2600 next to the name. Then just use the cd-key and follow the steps above to change the CD key... IF, you have already got the blue star logo on the bottom right of your screen..then you best option is to reformmat and crack your system before you get the blue star from microsoft update.

From XP Pro SP2, and not being able to validate, and no other updates to being able to install all updates including IE7 and WMP11. I did this on Jan. 18, 2007.

This was a pc that was getting a BSoD and I booted to an XP cd and ran chkdsk /r. It then booted fine. It was a base XP Pro install. I then installed XP2 from a cd. Afterwards when I tried to go to the MS update site it said it was a bootleg version of XP and couldn't update. After following the above instructions I have been able to install over 70 updates including IE7 and WMP11.

Thanks, my wife's friend's pc now has all of the updates and she is happy.

niki, the crack works best only right after a full reformmat........if you run on bootleg windows xp for sometime, it updates the system files and changes the cracking method. I suggest you re-install from scratch...or try doing a windows repair install and crack that. let me know how this turns out...... btw, what was your original installation CD key that you used?

again, you're supposed to open up the RUN windows and type in exactly what you see here in the quotes and hit ENTER:

What you need to do is a windows xp repair install... find your windows XP CD and follow the repair install guide on this site (you can search it up)

after you do the repair install...you can re-validate again.

Actually...the plan was for you to find the exact same ISO that use the jd3t2 key..it can be easily found on many bit torrent sites. This crack DOES work for other versions of windows XP...but then you would have to use a key that was generated for your exact version..the 2G28K one above might not work.

I can give you this but I cant tell you all the secrets, only that you should LOVE/APPRECIATE the internet while you still got it. It holds alot of the answers you have ~ but, just like in life, you have to ask it the right questions.. meaning the words you use.. You understand that and youll know what I mean ;)

STEP I: Open windows media player, go to help–>updates.. follow the upgrade to a newer version, click OK. System will download and install the Media Player 11. After that restart your PC.
(only way that wont work is if you dont have "evilsofts" updates -- just the media player ones tho)
STEP II: After restart go to C:Program FilesWindows Media Player.. then search for LegitLibM.dll. After you find it, rename it to legitlib.dll.
STEP III: Run WM11, click on validate, it will -- for the last time -- break your heart and say your not validated, but, finally it will succumb to your constant efforts of searching, and give in..

these are instructions on how to crack the latest version of Windows XP with Service Pack 2 that uses the registration key: JD3T2-QH36R-X7W2W-7R3XT-DVRPQ.

This will allow you to bypass the Microsoft Genuine Validation thingy


this method works better than many others i've tried before. forget the cracks and injectors etc... this is the BEST WAY:

1) start > run > "regedit" (without the quotes of course)

2) go to the key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMICROSOFTWindows NTCurrentVersionWPAEventsOOBETimer

...and doubleclick on it. Then change some of the value data to ANYTHING ELSE...delete some, add some letters, I don't care...just change it!

now close out regedit.

3) go to start > run > "%systemroot%system32oobemsoobe.exe /a" (again, dont type the quotes)

4) the activation screen will come up, click on register over telephone, then click on CHANGE PRODUCT KEY, enter in this key: JG28K-H9Q7X-BH6W4-3PDCQ-6XBFJ.

Now you can dl all the updates without activating, and the Genuine Microsoft Validation thingy won't bug you no more!!

Do I have to have genuine advantage tool installed already? I followed your steps above (religiously) but when I was waiting for the activation screen to come up it instead said that I typed the name wrong (which I didnt) or that I didnt have the file -- you know a bullshit error.. So what are you saying? Go into more details.. I have sp2, with media player 11 which I cracked, the same cd key as the one above.. Now I dont like downloading updates, theyre all back door applications, which only slow down a computer anyways. its crazy everyone dls them like they do, all xp is -- is a backdoor operating system, full of unessecary applications..

wtf is this all about i downloaded a program to change the liecense key as i do have a official one and had to use a fake one because thats the only one the disc would let me use (a friend gave me a copy of windows xp sp2 disc copied as my laptop crashed loads, but it has a geniune xp code on the bottom, now its being a pain, i have loads of virus's while looking for a way to put my code in and i werent paying microsoft 10GBP to get a program that would tell me my key and allow me to put in a new one cheeky f**kers, but what do i do microsoft are annoying me

Hello,

I have version 5.1 (build 2600.xpclnt_qfe.021108-2107)

I believe this is a XP Pro version without SP2.

I try and download SP2 and updates, but it tells me that my registration key is a key that
was made invalid because it was mass distributed??

How can I bypass the genuine advantage check and be able then to download upgrades?

I tried the fix mentioned here but it requires me to give a code given to me over the phone
by Microsoft personnel?? And that's a long code..longer than the key code!

Have you got a FIX for my problem?

I presumed that this had a WG validation patch and I downloaded the windows validating tool Now I have a star on my computer that cannot be removed. I have recent reinstalled winxp sp2 back onto my computer and was in the process of activating windows over the internet and when i entered my original product key code that came with my disk and computer i receive a message saying the i have registered that product key code too many times and am not allowed to use it again and to contact microsoft to receive another activation code. I really don't want to have to pay again for something that only needs to be reinstalled repeatedly because microsoft sucks. I have tried going into the oobe file and changing one digit and that didn't work at all, and i tried that twice. i have also tried entering other product key codes from other xp disks and that also has not worked. i am running short on time to activate windows before i am locked out of the computer comletely. please email me right away with any suggestions or solutions

Okay, I put in the key code my key changer thing gave me. When I restarted my computer, the software counterfeiting warning was still there. When I went to the %systemroot%system32oobemsoobe.exe /a thing, it said it was already activated. Something's wrong, right? & What will happen if I don't get a better key code?
